TV star sang to son 'out of desperation' before 'angelic' song became children's book

Only in Lola is the new family reality show taking over Amazon Fire and Roku. It follows former model Shanalee Sharboneau and her husband Perry, with their son, Braydon, as they move to a Texas ranch.

Model and author, Shalanalee, was urged to promise she’d move to a ranch with her husband before he tied the knot with her. That was many years ago, but now, she’s living it – and Amazon Prime filmed it!

Only in Lola follows Sharboneau family

Only in Lola features the Sharboneau family. Shanalee is the wife and mother of the family, holding a degree in statistics and healthcare, and who is best known for writing a viral children’s book.

After almost losing her son Braydon, now 14, three times, she decided to sing a song to him “in desperation”. While he’s “totally beautiful and fine now,” she wrote the song down and released it.

The song went international in 90 days and was turned into a children’s series, My Mummy Loves Me. Former model and author, Shanalee, told us, “I’ve gone from a real job to this… I was spoiled.”

Shanalee had to fulfil marriage vow

Shanalee had to fulfil a promise she made to her husband before they got married. “My husband told me he wants his own ranch one day, and made me promise before he signed the dotted line,” she said.

“Life moved very quick and we were getting to an age where it was, ‘Do it or don’t’. So we decided to move on this ranch,” Shanalee revealed, explaining how the ranch had stayed in the same family for years.

Having to feed chickens and look out for snakes are part of Shanalee’s daily routine. The family heads to the chicken coop to fetch eggs for breakfast, and are good friends with their neighbors, Dawn and Rob.

She describes ranch as ‘money pit’

Shanalee admits they “thought they were doing something wrong” until their friend told them, “Congrats on the ranch, it’s a money pit.” They’ve had to spend money on building a greenhouse, as well as a barn.

Although her husband was prepared for the ranch work and its costs, Shanalee was out of her depth at first. She told us, “Even the cows are independent, but they constantly need a water source.”

“They still need places they can go, I didn’t realise how much work that is. I ended up breaking the ice on the cattle water tank and lost my cell phone, which was at the bottom of the tank,” she revealed.
