In 2019, Taylor Swift underwent laser eye surgery, but had no idea her mom secretly recorded her when she came home to recover. The celebrity admitted she was under heavy painkiller pills when she returned home, so she was pretty out of it. The Grammy-award-winning star made an appearance on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in October that year, not knowing he had been sent the clip by her mother. She only got to see the clip in front of the whole world as they watched it too!

The 34-year-old, who was 29 at the time, was filmed by her mom Andrea. Now, it’s on YouTube forever.
49-year-old Jimmy Fallon asked her how the op went, with Taylor noticeably confused as to how he even knew she had it done.
In the clip, we see Taylor Swift wearing bandages over her eyes after the laser surgery and holding a banana in her kitchen. Her mother says: “She found a snack”.
With three left in the bunch, she rips one off, but begins to tear up as it ‘wasn’t the right one’.
Her mom, trying to hold in her laughter over the situation, reminds the star – who is dating Travis Kelce – to not cry because her eyes had just undergone a major operation.
Taylor Swift must have been on some decent pain pills after the laser eye surgery because she was visibly upset.
“I tried to get this one, but what do we do with this one now? It doesn’t have a head,” she says to her mom.
Next, we see the Shake It Off singer laying in bed as she’s eating the snack, and her mom reminds her she can’t doze off while munching on the fruit.
“I’m not asleep, my mind is alive”, she claps back.
Tay-Tay couldn’t believe her mom went behind her back to not only film her but send it to the national TV Show without her knowing. “Oh my god,” she quipped. “That’s on television. She was kind enough to drive me there, but cruel enough to film it and give it to you?”
