Liverpool could easily beat German side to signing of 23-goal striker Tottenham have scouted

Liverpool’s transfer plans for the summer remain relatively unknown but they are being tipped to easily sign one of Europe’s hottest properties.

The Reds are set for one of their biggest summers in modern times, as Jurgen Klopp moves on and Arne Slot comes into the dugout.

Michael Edwards has also returned and brought in Richard Hughes, while there remains contract issues to sort with players like Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and more.

Naturally, Liverpool fans will want to see new faces brought in over the summer and Slot himself is bound to have players in mind.

And according to reports from Germany, the Reds could be about to land a 23-goal striker.

Liverpool could easily beat Wolfsburg to the signing of Mohamed Amoura

According to a report from Kicker, German outfit Wolfsburg are pushing to try and sign Amoura from Union Saint-Galloise this summer.

The Algerian forward has rattled in 23 goals for the Belgian outfit this year and is expected to be on the move when the summer window kicks into gear.

However, while the German outfit like Amoura, it’s reported that Liverpool’s financial clout could easily see them come in and steal the forward from under their noses.

Amoura, 24, only arrived in Belgium from the Algerian league last year but has made an instant impression with his ability in front of goal.

Quite whether he can step up to the Premier League, remains to be seen.

Tottenham also keen on Amoura

Of course, any player scoring goals in Europe is going to have the eyes of scouts from England on him.

And it seems Amoura is no different.

According to reports back in March, Tottenham are also among the teams watching Amoura, with Ange Postecoglou having the forward scouted in person.

For Liverpool, a signing like Amoura is likely to be seen as low-risk. However, whether or not he can score the goals at the level required means there is an element of doubt in there as well.

But with Edwards back running the ship, it would be no surprise at all to see players like Amoura targeted.
