Report: Hammers' Amorim revenge as 'amazing wonderkid' stalls on deal because of West Ham

So West Ham United seemingly could be set to exact some real revenge on Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim.

Ruben Amorim flew to London to hold talks with David Sullivan last month, but he eventually returned to Portugal and had no further contact with West Ham.

The 39-year-old then completely belittled the Hammers by making it very clear that he had made a huge mistake holding talks with us in the first place.

It seems like Julen Lopetegui will now replace David Moyes. The Spaniard is a very good coach, but Amorim would have been the dream, there’s no doubt about that.

Missing out on the talented Portuguese coach really hurt. He is an unreal tactician who has his team playing some truly unbelievable football.

Whilst Amorim was the dream, we all need to move on from the idea of appointing him now.

And it seems like we can get some real revenge on the Sporting coach…

West Ham could get Ruben Amorim revenge

So, Amorim may well have played us, but we can get the last laugh.

That’s because one extremely talented footballer is holding out for a move to the London Stadium.

According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Zeno Debast is stalling on a £13.7 million move to Sporting because he’s holding out for West Ham to come in for him.

The Hammers were strongly linked with a move to sign the Belgian this time last year.

Described by Football Talent Scout as an ‘amazing wonderkid’, Debast really does have everything needed to make it at the very highest level of the game.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the 20-year-old is an exceptional young defender and has been labelled as the new Vincent Kompany by ELF Voetbal.

In 31 league outings for Anderlecht this season, the teenager has averaged 1.5 tackles, one interception and 4.7 clearances per game (Who Scored).

Zeno Debast is powerful, strong in the air, tenacious in the tackle and is very good with the ball at his feet. He would be a tremendous signing for the Hammers.

And as a bonus, West Ham can get some real revenge on Ruben Amorim by beating him to the signature of the Anderlecht star this summer.
