Kyle Richards’ separation from Mauricio Umansky has garnered more attention than Ariana Grande’s split. The RHOBH star saw a psychic in season 1 which predicted she’d split from Mauricio.
Celebrity divorces that have caused the most US interest saw Kyle Richards‘ split come fourth in the last year, as per a study by law attorneys Melone Hatley, P.C., as she navigates a public separation.
Kyle Richards’ divorce
Kyle Richards revealed she’s going through separation from Mauricio Umansky in October 2023, but the two continued to live together until recently. She recently took his last name out of her Instagram name.
In October 2023, Umansky told People he and Richards are “separated” but are “not throwing in the towel” just yet. “We’ve been married for 27 years, we’re having a bit of a rough patch,” he said.
Richards told fans in an Amazon livestream on February 29 that, despite still living under the same roof, she and Umansky were “allowed to” date other people, but neither have mentioned divorce.
Divorce more popular than top singer’s
Kyle Richards, whose divorce receives an average of 16,000 monthly searches, while Ariana’s recent split receives an average of 11,800 monthly searches. Ariana filed for divorce in September 2023.
Ariana Grande’s divorce ranked ninth in the top most popular celebrity divorces, while Kyle’s has become the fourth most searched-for split in the past 12 months.
Kyle and Mauricio’s 27-year marriage
Kyle and Mauricio have been married for 27 years. When she was spotted without her wedding ring in February 2023, separation rumors started to swirl, before she announced their split in October that year.
Then, in Season 13 of RHOBH, a new ring on Kyle’s finger had the women wondering if it was a “make-up band,” but she denied Mauricio had bought the ring for her, and has been spotted without them again.
Despite her efforts to quash rumors about her marriage during Season 13, Kyle didn’t wear her wedding or engagement ring to the Season 13 reunion, which was taped on January 26, 2024.
