Trevor Sinclair shares stunning Celtic Park footage on social media as Bhoys beat Rangers

Trevor Sinclair never hides his love for Celtic and the former England international was lucky enough to be one of the fans at Saturday’s derby victory over Rangers.

Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 after Matt O’Riley smashed the Bhoys into a lead and John Lundstram stuck the ball into the back of his own net minutes later.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are now six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and have a superior goal difference to the second-placed side. With just two games remaining, it puts Celtic on the brink of another title win.

Sinclair made the journey as part of three generations of his family today and shared sensational footage of 60,000 fans singing You’ll Never Walk Alone just before kick-off.

Sinclair also thanked all of the supporters he came across on his trip, with the former West Ham striker clearly getting a superb reception from the fans.

This was one of the biggest derbies in recent years and the atmosphere matched the occasion. Yes, there was a bit of tension towards the end but that’s only because the fixture means so much to so many.

The team were electric and dominant in the early stages of the match, in part down to the tone set by the support pre-match.

Rangers boss Philippe Clement noted after the game that his side’s display in the opening 20 minutes was his biggest disappointment about the afternoon and a major contributing factor in their defeat.

Today’s result could now kickstart a week-long party for supporters. There’s a big Player of the Year event at the Hydro on Sunday before the opportunity to clinch the title on Wednesday away to Kilmarnock.

That should set up a grand trophy day next Saturday at home to St Mirren that will give the team large amounts of confidence ahead of another huge derby in the Scottish Cup final.
