Tottenham fans absolutely loved what Richarlison was spotted doing before the victory over Burnley

Tottenham Hotspur were finally able to get three points on the board after almost a month of consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

It was another hard-fought victory for Tottenham who – once again – had to rely on two defenders to find the back of the net.

Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro had their shooting boots on to send Burnley down as Spurs took a good step towards securing Europa League football.

The goals were always going to have to be shared out following the sale of Harry Kane in the summer but Spurs are relying on players from all over the pitch currently.

And that is even more relevant now that Ange Postecoglou is without Richarlison who missed the game through another injury issue.

Although the Brazilian was not in the matchday squad, it did not stop him from entertaining the fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

What lies ahead for the 27-year-old in north London is yet to be seen but he has certainly enamoured himself with the fans.

What Richarlison was doing before Tottenham’s win over Burnley

The striker only came off the bench against Liverpool last weekend and he was still able to find the back of the net.

It has been a turbulent campaign for the 27-year-old who has shown a lot of promise when he has been able to string together some consistent games.

In 1492 minutes of Premier League football, Richarlison has been able to return 11 goals and four assists.

However, his unreliability through injury does mean Spurs may have to look for an upgrade in the summer at striker.

Richarlison may not have been fit enough to have an impact on the pitch today, this did not prevent him from interacting with the fans.

There was a final day feel around the north London ground as the sun shone in N17 with not a great deal to play for.

And Richarlison was spotted before kick-off limping down to the south stand and asking to wave the flag dedicated to him.

As he got his hands on the huge flag, the Tottenham fans were clearly loving every minute of it as the Brazilian got involved in the atmosphere building up to the game.

Ange Postecoglou issues Richarlison injury update after Burnley win

Having just returned from his latest injury, the Brazilian striker has been hit with a third injury issue of the season.

It has been a challenging campaign for the 27-year-old who has seen his game time severely hindered through his fitness issues.

And it seems as if his season may now be done with his manager issuing an update in his post-game press conference.

“I know I did the press conference yesterday [Friday], but it was literally the last kick of the game and I saw him hobble off and I assumed it was nothing serious,” Postecoglou said.

“Then it didn’t get any better later on in the evening and he was sent for a scan on his calf and I still don’t know the results of that to be honest, but watching him today he was still hobbling about.”
