Netflix is known for shining a spotlight on some of the wealthiest people going. Ready to showcase their extravagant lifestyles this Spring – a brand new group of millionaires. Super Rich in Korea dropped on the streaming service on May 7 and the cast includes the owner of Henry Beguelin and a man who is in the richest one per cent of Singapore.
We’ve seen Bling Empire, Dubai Bling, and Crazy Rich Asians. And, it’s safe to say the series had reality TV fans hooked. Now, a fresh cast is here, and this time they’re not just “rich,” they’re “multibillionaires.”
Meet the Henry Beguelin owner
Introducing himself on Super Rich in Korea, Teodoro Marani makes no bones about revealing where his wealth comes from.
He says on the Netflix show: “My parents are rich” and they certainly are, as they’re the owners of luxury fashion brand Henry Beguelin.
This makes Teodoro heir to the Italian luxury brand – something he appears to casually be taking in his stride as he sips on espresso in the show’s trailer.
Teodoro’s father, Tullio Marani, is the CEO of luxury fashion brand Henry Beguelin.
The company has been around for decades. Tullio writes on the brand’s website how he “loves a challenge,” adding: “I believe that handing down a legacy to our children’s children is a fascinating challenge.”
The Cinemaholic estimates Teo’s net worth at $5 million. As well as being heir to Henry Beguelin, he was previously involved in an import, export business, as well as a restaurant manager, per his LinkedIn page.
Super Rich in Korea star born with a silver spoon
Teodoro is introduced on the Netflix show as being “born with a silver spoon in his mouth.”
He may well be set to inherit a business worth millions one day, but until then, he’s remaining relatively down to earth by pointing out how a fried egg at one of the restaurants the cast visits on the show costs an extortionate 18,000 won.
Per his Instagram page, Teo says he has his father’s “Tony Stark-style charm” and his mother’s “sexiness.” Sounds like quite the combination.
Another post on the ‘gram sees Teo calling his father a “superstar.”
He has Italian roots but has spent the past three years living in Seoul, Korea.
