TV star's 'terrifying' cancer diagnosis update as fans fear for his health

After two hit series, Clarkson’s Farm is back this Spring with new episodes dropping on May 3. Another installment is released on May 10 but in the meantime, fans are eager to know more about how Gerald Cooper is doing after his cancer diagnosis was revealed on the show. Thankfully, Jeremy Clarkson, 64, has an update for Gerald’s fans.

Clarkson’s Farm is filled with emotional moments. Season 3 sees Jeremy consoling Lisa Hogan as they lose one of their piglets. As always the Amazon Prime series is also jam-packed with hilarious times, too. But, Jeremy and his team are dealt some tough news throughout the episodes this year.

Clarkson’s Farm: Gerald’s cancer diagnosis

Clarkson’s Farm fans were dealt a heartbreaking blow when they found out one of their favorites on the show, Gerald, is battling cancer.

Gerald has appeared on the show since series 1 and works as Head of Security.

He’s worked on the land all his life and quickly became a fan-favorite as viewers fell in love with him and his West Country accent three years ago.

Jeremy Clarkson explained on the latest series how Gerald had been diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 74. He added how Gerald was feeling “upset and terrified” at the news.

Gerald is ‘on the mend’

Following Gerald’s diagnosis, many fans were left wondering how he was doing. More tweeted via X (Twitter) that they hope he’s “OK.”

Thankfully, Jeremy provided an update, letting viewers know Gerald is “on the mend.”

The reality TV star and resident dry stone-waller “underwent surgery at some point last year” reports Daily Mail.

Both Jeremy and Kaleb Cooper, 25, agreed how they both “want him back” on the farm in season 3’s first batch of episodes.

Kaleb added how his co-star is “strong.” In an Instagram post from February, Gerald can be seen hanging out with the Clarkson’s Farm team as Jeremy promotes season 3.

He can also be seen in snaps from October last year as Jeremy explained that’s when filming had wrapped for the latest episodes.

Taking to X this May, fans also said they’d “bumped into” Gerald when they were filming some content in the Cotswolds. The Amazon Prime star can be seen seemingly in good spirits, smiling for photos.
