Twenty-seven Fenland Running Club members hit the roads in races nationwide.
Favourable weather conditions of cool, sunny weather with minimal wind created ideal racing conditions at various locations.
Back in November 2023, with a stunning 38:12, Malcolm Tuff qualified to represent England in an international Masters 10k race.
Despite injury in February he made it to the start line in Birmingham this weekend and ran an amazing 37:24 finishing in 98th place out of a field of more than 14,000.
Running in the 55-59 age category, Tuff completed an extraordinary age-graded performance of 87 per cent.
At Thetford, in the Breckland 10k, Martin Jennings came 4th overall out of 310 runners and was first in the Vet 50 age category with an outstanding time of 37:19.
The course features an initial climb followed by five miles of almost flat terrain ending with a downhill finish and provides an excellent opportunity for participants to achieve good times.
Jennings commented that the event was exceptionally well-organised with fabulous support from the marshals.
Andrew Plume made a welcome return to racing at the Fen Drayton 10k among 193 runners where he also came fourth overall and 1st in his age category in a time of 38:01
King's Lynn hosted the scenic Grand East Anglian Run, GEAR 10k, where 24 Fenlanders were among the 2,179 finishers.
GEAR is a well-organised and well-supported race, popular with the locals and bringing out the crowds to watch the race, which is run on closed roads and traffic-free routes.
