'He needs to': Plenty of Celtic fans are sending a clear message to Joe Hart after win over Rangers

Celtic’s win yesterday takes the team to within a whisker of claiming their third title in a row.

Six points clear with just two games to go, a point against Kilmarnock on Wednesday night will officially crown Celtic as champions with Brendan Rodgers set to win his third overall over two stints as the Hoops gaffer.

Even if the title is won on Wednesday, there is still plenty left to play for with Celtic to face Rangers again in the Scottish Cup Final at the end of the month.

That game will mark Joe Hart‘s final in his career as the veteran goalkeeper hangs up his gloves and, hopefully, he will do so with his third Scottish Cup winners medal of his career.

Hart has been superb for Celtic since taking over from Vasilis Barkas and the thought of him retiring at the end of the season has filled some Hoops fans with dread.

Celtic fans tell Hart to rethink big decision

Over the past three seasons, Hart has only missed six games. Yesterday marked his 150th in a Celtic jersey, 700th overall and if picked for the remaining three games of the season, Hart will have experienced 703 games in a glittering career that has saw him pick up every domestic trophy on both sides of the border.[Transfermarkt]

And as the reality of his impending retirement kicks in, these Celtic fans have sent him a message after his part in the 2-1 win over Rangers yesterday:

One fan thinks it will be tough to say goodbye at the end of the season:

Whilst another believes Hart still has more to offer Celtic:

Another pleads with the 37-year-old to stay:

Whilst another Hoops fan believes Brendan Rodgers has a tough ask to replace the outgoing ‘keeper.

It is very unlikely that Hart is going to change his mind and it does seem as though Celtic are tracking potential targets for when that day comes.

And when it does, there are guaranteed to be no dry eyes left inside Hampden whichever way the result goes as Hart is clearly loved by the Celtic support.
