David Sullivan confidant claims Oscar Caro is set to join West Ham this summer

Spaniard Oscar Caro is set to join West Ham United this summer it seems.

Oscar Caro will apparently follow Julen Lopetegui to West Ham, when the 57-year-old Spaniard takes over from David Moyes at the London Stadium.

I actually think that Lopetegui will be a big upgrade on Moyes, in spite of what pundits like Paul Merson keep telling us.

The former Wolves boss likes his teams to build up from the back and he is definitely more of a possession orientated coach than Moyes is.

An exciting new era of success awaits West Ham, I’m absolutely sure of it.

A big overhaul is needed at the London Stadium this summer, with 12 Hammers being linked with the exit door.

He’s allegedly planning to sign six new players before the start of next season, and now it seems like one man definitely will be arriving in East London this summer…

It’s very encouraging to see Lopetegui making some big moves already.

According to Sean Whetstone – a reporter with very close links to Hammers owner David Sullivan – Oscar Caro is likely to join Lopetegui at the London Stadium this summer:

The fitness coach has spent time with the incoming Hammers manager at Wolves, Sevilla, Real Madrid and the Spain national team.

Lopetegui absolutely has to build a top-class backroom team around him, if he is to succeed at West Ham.

However, there is one man he should try and keep involved in the coaching setup, and that’s Kevin Nolan.

The 41-year-old will be crucial to keeping morale levels high at the London Stadium, and he’s a well-renowned leader of men.

That said, Lopetegui’s new additions to the coaching staff will definitely be welcome, Oscar Caro included, with a big freshen up needed at West Ham.
