'Recovered': Pep Guardiola says two Man City players could now be available to face Tottenham on Tuesday

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that two of his players could be available to face Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping that he has a fully-fit squad to pick from ahead of City’s trip to North London.

City have often had to content with various injuries throughout the season and like any top team, they will be expected to beat Spurs regardless of if key players are unavailable for the clash.

Guardiola says two City players could be available for Tottenham clash

Dejan Kulusevski has disclosed that he is determined for his Spurs side to beat Manchester City.

Even though Arsenal were leading 3-0 at half-time in the North London Derby, the game eventually finished 3-2, with Tottenham giving the Gunners a tough time during the clash.

The Sky Blues players must be aware of the threat that the Lilywhites pose, even if their form has tailed off during the second half of the campaign.

The good news for Manchester City is that Pep Guardiola has revealed that Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake could be available for their contest against Tottenham.

“Jack [Grealish] has recovered from his illness and Nathan [Ake] was much better yesterday and now we will train and we can see if he can train or not.”

“No, I think it’s not serious but we just have two days and a half, three days since the game tomorrow”, he said [via HaytersTV].

The potential returns of Grealish and Ake vs Tottenham are huge for City

Pep Guardiola would likely be delighted if the Manchester City duo of Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake are available for selection against Tottenham.

Grealish is a player who revels in such big games and the way he can help dictate the tempo of a game from out wide could help City set the pace of the game away from home.

As for Ake, he has been starting quite a lot lately, playing from the off in five of his last league games.

However, in the treble-winners’ 4-0 victory against Fulham, the £41 million man had suffered an injury.

But with how versatile the Dutchman is, both as an option at centre-back as well as a left-back, Guardiola could perhaps look to start him in either position in the game.
