Liverpool should sign £15m rated midfielder who is like Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo

Liverpool should sign a £15m rated midfielder who is similar to both Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister.

Even though Liverpool signed four midfielders last summer, it still feels like the club might invest in another midfielder this summer as well.

Given how the season has panned out, it’s become glaringly obvious that Liverpool still need another more defensively minded midfielder. Especially if Arne Slot, who looks likely to become the club’s next manager, will play with a double pivot.

That means Liverpool should be on the hunt for another midfielder this summer, and that midfielder could be someone who is a blend of Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister.

Why Angelo Stiller is the perfect fit for Liverpool

When it comes to exciting young midfielders in European football right now, few can compare to Angelo Stiller.

He’s been the beating heart of Stuttgart’s successful season in the Bundesliga, which has seen them qualify for the Champions League next season.

Stiller is a tenacious midfielder, who is composed in possession but also aggressive out of possession and who will look to win a lot of balls in midfield.

The best way to describe him is a combination of Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister. Which is why there is no surprise that both Endo and Mac Allister feature on Stiller’s FBref profile in the top ten players who are most similar to him.

How much would Liverpool need to spend to sign Angelo Stiller?

According to Transfermarkt, Stiller is valued at around £15m. Although considering Stuttgart has just qualified for the Champions League, they will be in no rush to sell.

Likely, Liverpool would need to spend at least double that to even stand a chance of luring Stiller to Anfield this summer.

Although even at that price, the 22-year-old would be a bargain for the club.
