Report: £100m player is Todd Boehly’s number one transfer target for Chelsea

Reports have claimed that Todd Boehly has his number one transfer target in mind for the upcoming transfer window.

The Blues are likely to be busy in the upcoming summer market, with both incomings and outgoings expected to be in their plenty.

As far as bringing in a big name goes, striker is the position that has been frequently mentioned as the one they need to strengthen in order to compete where they think they belong at the top of the table again.

This is despite anall-round impressive first campaign in England for Nicolas Jackson, who currently sits on 14 Premier League goals.

The 22-year-old was on hand to score the dramatic winner on Saturday against Nottingham Forest, however now it has been claimed the owner is still keen to add another name to their ranks in this role.

Boehly wants Victor Osimhen

According to Sport Zone, Boehly has Napoli star Victor Osimhen at the top of his list for when it comes to new additions this summer.

It is widely expected that the Nigerian striker is going to be on the move when this campaign comes to a close, although any move is reportedly going to set sides back around £100m.

Chelsea rivalling PSG for Osimhen

The report goes on to say that Chelsea are in competition with PSG over a potential deal, as they look to find a way to replace Kylian Mbappe after he announced his goodbyes.

Some Chelsea fans will actually be wondering at this stage if they need to spend a figure this big to strengthen the position, off the back of some serious improvements in Jackson’s game as the season has gone on.

He is by no means the full package right now, however plays a crucial part in what Mauricio Pochettino is looking to do right now in attack.

With a fully fitChristopher Nkunku still yet to be seen at Stamford Bridge, there is already plenty of final third talent at the club’s disposal.
