Journalist predicts David Moyes' next job after he leaves West Ham this summer

A journalist has just predicted who David Moyes may join at the end of his West Ham United contract this summer.

Moyes is set to depart The Hammers at the end of the season after two spells at the club.

The former United boss reignited his career in East London and became the first West Ham manager to win silverware in over 40 years when his side won the UEFA Conference League last year.

Despite a productive spell, the club have decided to move him on with Julen Lopetegui as the rumoured man to take over.

With that said, Ian Ladyman has just predicted his next job.

Ian Ladyman thinks David Moyes could become Scotland manager

Speaking on the ‘It’s All Kicking Off!‘ podcast, Ladyman predicted that Moyes could become the next Scotland manager after the EUROs in Germany this summer.

“Scotland get hoofed at the Euros and David Moyes becomes manager of Scotland. It’s possible to see David Moyes as a future Scotland manager. It’s just a theory.”

Whether the 61-year-old wants to move away from club football remains to be seen but it’s certainly likely to be a proposition that would excite him if it crops up. Chris Sutton disagreed, though.

“I see David Moyes staying in the Premier League. When a job comes up which is pretty inevitable,” Sutton added.

David Moyes can still manage at the elite level

As Sutton alluded to, Moyes will still be in demand among certain Premier League clubs, so perhaps a move to international football is a little premature.

Usually, international jobs come a little later in manager’s careers and although Moyes is vastly experienced in the game, he’s still around his peak.
