Reporter close to Sullivan makes seriously exciting striker claim as Lopetegui makes presence felt

A seriously exciting striker transfer claim has just been made as Julen Lopetegui makes his presence felt at West Ham United.

Julen Lopetegui has a lot of work to do when he takes over at West Ham, but securing a big striker transfer deal will arguably be his most important task.

The 57-year-old Spaniard has six new signings in mind already, and a new striker is said to be sitting right at the top of his agenda.

Lopetegui has to do his very best to make up for the mess that David Moyes is leaving behind.

That might sound harsh but the cold hard truth is that if Lucas Paqueta leaves this summer, we will have only six first-team players under the age of 29.

Still though, bringing a top-class striker to the London Stadium will be the most important thing to do for our manager this summer…

Seriously exciting West Ham striker transfer claim

Fear not Hammers fans, we are on the precipice of a really exciting new era, I’m sure of it.

In order to reach the next level, we have to add an elite striker to our ranks, and that is exactly what Lopetegui plans on doing it seems.

According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers will 100% be signing a striker this summer.

The two names being mentioned are Ivan Toney and Dominic Solanke. I would take either of those players, and they would improve us massively overnight.

For everything good that Moyes did at West Ham, his main weakness was his failure to sign a proper long-term replacement for Michail Antonio.

Sebastien Haller and Gianluca Scamacca both failed under Moyes, mainly because the Scot was too stubborn to mix things up and deploy a different style of play.

Our lack of centre-forward options have really held us back during Moyes’s tenure but things are clearly changing.

The big West Ham striker transfer claim from C&H is great news. It proves that Lopetegui is determined to succeed where Moyes failed.
