Offensive in Kharkiv region: More than 30,000 Russian soldiers involved in attack

More than 30,000 Russian Federation troops are currently advancing in the northern part of the Kharkiv region, states Oleksandr Lytvynenko, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

According to him, initially, about 50 thousand Russian troops were concentrated at the border.

At the same time, a significant part of them is already advancing on Ukrainian territory. Lytvynenko notes that it's about more than 30 military personnels.

He also stated that according to all reports, Ukrainian soldiers are prepared to repel, and heavy fighting is currently ongoing.

Advance of the Russian army

Russian troops attempted to breach the border with the Kharkiv region several days ago, and they have managed to occupy several villages. Additionally, fighting continues in the area near the northern outskirts of the city of Vovchansk.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported today that Russian occupiers continue their attempts to advance in the Kharkiv region. They are consolidating their positions, establishing backup positions in the occupied territories.
