The future is bright at Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp’s penultimate game in charge of the club on Monday night against Aston Villa was proof of that.

21-year-old Harvey Elliott played a key role in creating Liverpool’s opening goal and third goal as well.

For Liverpool’s third goal, Elliott provided the assist to Jarell Quansah – another very promising 21-year-old – for him to score his first ever goal in the Premier League.

“So, the basis is there, and all the other big guns really; the basis is there. New influences always help, that’s how it is. We did what we could and if we could have done better, we probably would have, let me say it like that. Now we are where we are and that’s it.”
