Now, according to Academy Scoop, the Blues have just secured another top prospect for the future.

They claimed on Twitter that they have secured a deal for 15-year-old Christopher Atherton.

They went on to say that the youngster opted to join the Blues instead of Manchester United, and also trialled with a number of Premier League sides.

He has also made a bit of history in his extraordinarily short career, becoming the youngest player to make a first-team debut at professional level in the UK.
