'Losing his rag': Paul Robinson has spotted big change in Tottenham man, he's been far more 'aggressive' recently

Former Premier League defender Paul Robinson has spotted a change in a Tottenham Hotspur man’s behaviour recently.

After a blistering start to their Premier League campaign, Tottenham have petered out a little, particularly in the final run-in and now look set to miss out on a top-four finish.

The North Londoners are in action this evening as they play host to title-hopefuls Manchester City, with a victory moving them two points off fourth-placed Villa with a game to go, so there is still hope.

That said, one Spurs man seems to be growing frustrated.

Paul Robinson says Ange Postecoglou has been losing his rag recently

Robinson, speaking on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel, noted that he’s spotted Ange Postecoglou growing increasingly frustrated in recent weeks, particularly when his players pass sideways.

“I think Big Ange is losing his rag now with a few of the Tottenham players over the last few weeks,” Robinson said.

“I have seen him getting aggressive with them now on the touchline, especially at Chelsea when he was asking them to play forward more because Tottenham just kept going sideways. It was boring.”

The former West Bromwich Albion man makes a great point, the 58-year-old does seem to be losing patience with some of his players, so perhaps that’s why he’s hinted at selling a few this summer transfer window.

Tottenham need to improve in a number of areas

The transfer window is fast approaching and Spurs are expected to be in the market for further reinforcements.

With Richarlison rumoured to depart, the need for another striker is glaringly obvious, though, they’ll also need more additions in the backline.

Whilst Micky van de Ven was out injured, the lack of depth at centre-back became apparent, so that’s certainly one area that needs investment.

Perhaps even a winger to share the load with Son Heung-min, who will need a rest at times.
