European countries should follow Germany's lead and provide Ukraine with more Patriot air defense systems, according to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

"We need another five or six Patriot systems," Frederiksen said.

According to her, while these systems are located in Europe, it's better to have air defense systems in Ukraine than in NATO countries.

She said that the fighting in Ukraine is not abating. "Ukrainians need more," she added, also referring to ammunition.

Patriot systems

Germany has announced the transfer of a third Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

It is expected that the USA may also provide Ukraine with one Patriot system.

Last week, the USA allocated a $400 million military aid package to Ukraine, which includes missiles for the Patriot system.
