‘Phenomenal’: Ben Foster was stunned by what he saw from ‘incredible’ Man City player vs Fulham

Ben Foster has been left amazed by one thing he saw during Manchester City’s recent win over Fulham.

On Saturday, the Citizens picked up all three points at Craven Cottage with a 4-0 win thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez.

This game will have put the Blues in a good frame of mind to attack tonight’s away match against Tottenham Hotspur in what will be another key game in the race to win the Premier League title.

Looking back over the win in West London, one pundit and former top-flight player couldn’t hide his amazement at one particular incident that took place in the match.

Speaking in a recent video shared on his YouTube channel, Foster had this to say about City’s first goal against Fulham.

He said: “That touch from Gvardiol is phenomenal. That touch running at pace, coming onto a [Kevin] De Bruyne ball, it’s incredible, it’s incredible.”

In the 13th minute of the game, Gvardiol opened the scoring by slotting the ball past Bernd Leno after completing a neat one-two with De Bruyne on the edge of the Fulham box.

The defender then went on to score City’s third goal of the game by getting on the end of a back-post cross from Bernardo Silva and poking the ball into the net.

Gvardiol has been in hot form recently

These two goals took his tally for the campaign to four, in addition to making it the eighth clean sheet he’s kept out of the 19 league games he’s completed the full 90 minutes in.

After the Fulham game, Pep Guardiola also couldn’t contain his praise for the Croatian and his goalscoring efforts by saying that the first goal he scored on Saturday made him look like “the best winger” in the world.

While his goals have certainly been impressive recently, the main thing at this stage of the season is City winning every game they have and making sure they don’t end up missing out on the Premier League title and FA Cup.
