Christopher Nkunku has just done something very impressive on the Chelsea training ground

When Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku was still at RB Leipzig, he was one of the deadliest forwards in the Bundesliga.

For example, during his last season at RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku scored 16 goals in 25 league appearances.

Unfortunately, at Chelsea, he has not really been able to show his efficiency in front of goal because of injury.

Nkunku has spent most of this season on the sidelines, but the 26-year-old recently returned to training and has been displaying what he can do when he is on the grass.

It has been claimed that Liverpool wanted to sign Nkunku before his move to Chelsea, but Jurgen Klopp was not too keen on the idea.

Christopher Nkunku takes on Reece James in shooting exercise at Cobham

In a video uploaded to TikTok by Chelsea, Nkunku can be seen going head-to-head with captain Reece James in a shooting drill.

Both players were allowed just one touch on the edge of the box before having to take a shot.

While James had one of his shots saved, Nkunku scored all of his and some of the finishing on display was immaculate.

It is a shame that the Frenchman has not been able to stay fit this season. Chelsea fans have only got a taster of the above.

Nkunku has only been able to score two goals, with one being a header, which came in a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers back in December.

Where is Christopher Nkunku going to play next season?

If Nkunku can stay fit during the 2024/25 campaign, it will be interesting to see where Mauricio Pochettino or whoever is in charge uses him.

The France international’s best position is probably just off the striker.

You would expect Nkunku to start there with Nicolas Jackson or a new signing up top and Cole Palmer on the right.

As for the opposite flank, Mykhailo Mudryk will be hoping to nail down a spot there, though it is a position that Nkunku can also play in.
