Jack Sullivan lifts lid on big David Sullivan question as West Ham head into exciting new era

Jack Sullivan, the son of West Ham United owner David Sullivan, has opened up on what the future may hold for his father.

There were rumours that Jack Sullivan could take over the role of his father David Sullivan on the West Ham United board way back in 2021.

Jack, 24, is now a Director at the London Stadium, and was involved with the Hammers women’s team before resigning three years ago.

Meanwhile, David is the majority shareholder at West Ham, having taken over the East London club back in 2010.

Much change is expected at West Ham this summer, with David Moyes’ exit from the club now officially confirmed for after our final game of the season.

Could there be any changes on the horizon at board level though?

There have been rumours that Daniel Kretinsky could be eyeing a full takeover of the club at some point after all.

Jack Sullivan lifts lid on big David Sullivan question

At 75, David Sullivan is surely approaching the time of his life where he wants to put his feet up and relax.

Sullivan has been involved in football for a very long time now going back to his Birmingham City days, so surely he’s due a break.

Or is he?

Sullivan Junior responded when asked if the time is approaching whereby he could take the reins from his father, when speaking to City AM:

“To be honest, I can never see dad retiring at all. He is a workaholic, he loves to work. I’ve always said if he wants me to do anything then I would love to.”

Sullivan senior has helped guide Jack throughout his life, and rightly so, what father wouldn’t want to help their son?

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if the 24-year-old goes on to be given some kind of role at the London Stadium, when David Sullivan finally decides to call it a day at West Ham.

Much will depend on whether he decides to sell up or not.

And as things stand, nobody knows what the Hammers majority shareholder has planned.
