'Would bite their hand off': Chelsea likely to accept £35m offer for 'amazing' player this summer - journalist

Chelsea are unlikely to turn down a £35m bid for a loanee this summer, but they could have to settle for much less.

The club have several players out on loan at the moment, including Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Armando Broja.

Lukaku’s temporary move to AS Roma has gone pretty well, with the striker scoring 20 goals in 46 appearances, but things have not worked out for Kepa and Broja.

Kepa has been a bench player behind Andriy Lunin at Real Madrid, while Broja could finish his loan spell with Fulham without making a single start.

It has been claimed that Chelsea are already in talks to sell the 22-year-old to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Chelsea would love £35m offer for loanee this summer

It is quite clear that the likes of Lukaku, Kepa and Broja have no future at Stamford Bridge.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, if a £35m offer came in for Broja, Chelsea would not hesitate to take the money.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: “I think Chelsea would bite their hand off if a suitor offered £35 million for Armando Broja, and very possibly now will have to consider offers between £25 and £30 million in order to get a permanent sale.

“Maybe they will consider a loan with an option or an obligation, again to bring in some short-term finances and resolve the situation, but it certainly won’t be easy to get even the lower end of their original valuation for Broja just because he’s not been playing, he’s not been scoring.”

The issue Chelsea have with Armando Broja

Chelsea would probably love to sell Broja for £35m, largely because of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

That would put the Albania international, who Mauricio Pochettino believes has “amazing” potential, on their list of top 10 most expensive sales.

However, Broja has not done anything during his loan at Fulham. No one is going to pay £35m for the Chelsea academy graduate, and the Blues have already shown that he is an individual who they are willing to loan out following his temporary move to Craven Cottage.

Ultimately, offloading Broja in the upcoming transfer window is not going to be easy.
