An air raid alert was announced on Wednesday evening, May 15th, in the occupied city of Sevastopol, Crimea. The operation of air defense systems was reported, according to the Telegram channels of Russia's appointed "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev.
According to Razvozhaev, Russian air defense systems are allegedly operating in Sevastopol. Several aerial targets have reportedly been shot down, and all emergency services are on high alert.
"Air defense systems are operational in Sevastopol. Several aerial targets have already been downed. All services are on high alert," the collaborator stated.
Meanwhile, local residents report hearing sirens in Sevastopol, followed by explosions. Residents of the town of Gvardiiske, where a military airfield is located, also report explosions.
Razvozhaev has once again claimed the downing of aerial targets over the peninsula.
Strikes on Crimea
In the occupied Crimea, special operations targeting Russian military bases and enemy equipment are becoming more frequent. For instance, at the end of April, a strike was carried out on an airfield near Dzhankoy, where dozens of explosions were reported.
Then, on the night of May 15th, explosions were also heard in Sevastopol. According to later reports by the media, the Belbek airfield was attacked, where Russian aircraft could have been targeted. Russian forces, as usual, claimed that the peninsula was hit by ATACMS missiles and that their defense systems intercepted them.
