Ukraine's Defense Forces have eliminated aother 1,520 Russian soldiers over the past day, along with 30 armored fighting vehicles, 27 artillery systems, and 19 tanks, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to May 16, 2024 are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: around 488,460 (+1,520) troops
- Tanks: 7,529 (+19) units
- APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 14,538 (+30) units
- Artillery systems: 12,565 (+27) units
- UAV operational-tactical level: 10,028 (+13)
- Cruise missiles: 2,200 (+1)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 17,048 (+93) units
- Special equipment: 2,062 (+1)
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian forces continue their offensive attempts in the Kharkiv region, achieving some tactical successes in certain areas.
