The Ukrainian military managed to reduce Russian activity in the Kharkiv sector, not allowing the enemy to penetrate the depths of the urban area in Vovchansk, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Compared to May 10, the Armed Forces forced the Russian army to significantly reduce the activity.
"The enemy's plans to penetrate as deep as possible into the urban area of Vovchansk and gain a foothold there have been thwarted. Since the beginning of the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have continued to carry out combat missions within the urban area of Vovchansk in the northern part of the city, keeping the enemy under fire control. The situation is under control," the statement said.
Kupiansk sector
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops, supported by armored vehicles, are trying to attack Ukrainian positions in the Krokhmalne-Berestove area.
"Ukrainian defenders destroyed a tank and an infantry fighting vehicle here. The battle continues, but the situation is under control. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also improved their tactical position and pushed the enemy back in the area north of Kyslivka," the military added.
Other directions
In the Siversk sector, the Russian military conducted one attack in the Vesele-Zvanivka area, there are no changes in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' position. Fighting continues in the Yakovlivka-Razdolivka sector.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy unsuccessfully tried three times to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of Bakhmut-Klishchiivka, Bakhmut-Andriivka. Fighting continues in the area of Hryhorivka. The situation is under control.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three attacks in the areas of Vodiane - Netailove, Pervomaiske - Netailove. The fighting continues. The situation is under control.
In the Kurakhove sector, Russian forces launched three attacks in the areas of Vodiane - Netailove, Slavne - Novomykhailivka. Fighting is still ongoing in the areas of Solodke - Kostiantynivka and Solodke - Vodiane. Ukrainian positions have not been lost at the moment.
In theVremivka sector, the enemy launched three unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Staromlynivka - Urozhaine, Zavitne Bazhannia - Staromaiorske. In the Volodyne-Staromaiorske area, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy. No positions have been lost so far, the situation is under control.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy continues to try to force the Defense Forces out of the left bank of the Dnipro River. During the current day, it made three attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Krynky, Kherson region. There were no losses of positions.
Since the beginning of the day, 23 combat clashes have taken place, the Russian military launched two missile attacks, four air strikes using eight UAVs, 48 kamikaze drone strikes, and fired 564 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops.
