Mikel Arteta shares honest Premier League title verdict ahead of Arsenal v Everton clash

Mikel Arteta has shared his honest verdict on if Arsenal can beat Manchester City to the Premier League title on Sunday.

The Gunners host Everton on the final day of the season with Arsenal in need of West Ham getting a result against Pep Guardiola’s side if the north London giants are to stand any shot of winning the Premier League.

With Arsenal also in need of getting a win, the odds are against Arteta’s side on the final day of the season, namely because of City’s unbelievable form and air inevitably surrounding the Manchester side winning a four Premier League in a row.

And Arteta has now shared his thoughts on if Arsenal can lift the Premier League title on Sunday.

Arteta confident Arsenal can win the Premier League ahead of ‘magical’ final day

Speaking to Sky Sports after being awarded the Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic from the Spanish Embassy in London, Arteta voiced his confidence in Arsenal winning the Premier League.

Even if Arsenal end the day empty-handed, fans will be proud of Arteta and the squad for what they have achieved this season, with few expecting the Gunners to take the title to the final day of the campaign.

With a big summer coming up and 115 charges looming above City’s head, next season could be huge for Arsenal if the right deals and decisions are made, and Arteta is seemingly excited for Sunday’s tie against Everton.

Arteta said: “Maybe it’s the signal we need, especially after what happened between City and Tottenham, but we have a beautiful day ahead of us on Sunday, and hopefully the magic can happen. We have to do our side of the deal and to win in order to become champions, so let’s do that.”

Fans will hope one-in-a-million title chance comes true

With City on their longest unbeaten run in their history and West Ham in torrid form, we can all see where Sunday is going at the Etihad Stadium despite some Arsenal fans’ best bets in thinking the Irons could get something.

Yet Arteta is seemingly one such supporter who has been hit with a dose of hopeium heading into Sunday, where Arsenal still need to get the job done against Everton.

Indeed, the final day of the season will likely see City lift the title, yet many Arsenal fans will still be sitting an hoping that the one-in-a-million title chance comes true on Sunday.
