42-year-old man arrested after large cannabis factory discovered in Chilton Industrial Estate unit in Anderson Road, Sudbury

A person has been arrested while another remains on the run after a large cannabis factory was discovered in a town.

Officers made the discovery at around 7.55pm yesterday in a unit on the Chilton Industrial Estate in Addison Road, Sudbury.

When police entered the premises they discovered large quantities of the plants spread across two floors.

Two men were found in the building and fled the scene.

One of the suspects, a 42-year-old man, was caught and arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains.

The other suspect remains ‘outstanding’.
