A delighted baker has won a Best Cake in Britain prize. Debbie Lock of Little Barn Cakes picked up the title for Best Occasion Cake category of Britain’s Best Cake 2024 awards. Debbie has been making cakes professionally since 2007. Little Barn Cakes has grown year on year, and in 2018 moved to a purpose-built cake studio in Calves Lane, Stoke by Nayland. Actors and reality stars are warming up to take part in a charity football match, which will raise funds for a Suffolk schoolgirl’s charity. Former Eastenders actors Dean Gaffney and Matthew Lapinskas will join Dan Osborne (Only Way is Essex) and Calum Best, playing in the match at Cornard United Football club, near Sudbury. The charity has been named in honour of schoolgirl Teigan Rose Bayliss, 13, of Great Whelnetham, near Bury St Edmunds.
