There were 58 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. Intense fighting continues along the entire frontline, with the most active areas in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the greatest activity of the Russian occupiers is recorded today in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk directions. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are taking all measures to prevent the Russian occupiers from advancing deeper into the country.

The Russian invaders are most active in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, the Russians have already conducted 20 attacks, in particular, in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Solovyove, Netailove, and Umanske.

The Russian army used combat aircraft near Vovche, Vozdvyzhenka, and Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian occupation forces carried out 10 attacks. The Russian invaders tried to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Hryhorivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka.

"Despite Russia's onslaught, Ukrainian soldiers continue to confidently hold back the enemy and counterattack under favorable conditions," the General Staff reports.

Situation at front

Russia intensified attacks along the entire front line. The Russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses near Avdiivka and the town of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.

According to local authorities, the capture of Chasiv Yar will allow Russians to open the way to the Kramatorsk agglomeration.

In addition, the Russian army launched a second offensive in the Kharkiv region. The Russian occupiers are trying to capture the city of Vovchansk in the north of the region, which is located near the border with Russia. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that they had thwarted Russia's plans to gain a foothold in the city. The Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked in the area of Vovchansk.
