Ormiston Sudbury Academy alumnus, from Leavenheath, joins cast of Netflix drama series Bridgerton

A starring role in a popular Netflix drama series beckons for a Suffolk actress, who earned her acting stripes at her secondary school in Sudbury.

Hannah Dodd – originally from Leavenheath, near Sudbury – has been announced as a new member of the cast of period drama Bridgerton.

Ahead of the show’s third season, the 28-year-old will take over the role of Francesca Bridgerton from actress Ruby Stokes.

In her youth, Hannah was a keen performing arts student at Ormiston Sudbury Academy, and starred in various school productions, including musicals such as Grease, Little Shop of Horrors and We Will Rock You.

After attending the school in Tudor Road, she studied at Evolution Foundation College, and later graduated from the London Studio Centre with a degree in theatre dance.
