'He has been unbelievable': Kris Boyd blown away by Celtic player who left Kilmarnock 'absolutely terrified'

Celtic’s title win this season has been through a combination of Brendan Rodgers’ superb man-management, tactics and a blend of youth and experienced players.

The Celtic old guard of James Forrest and Callum McGregor helped guide the team through one of the most high-pressured parts of the season.

A trip to Ibrox in the 3-3 draw and then winning against Dundee, Hearts and then Rangers again at Celtic Park put Rodgers on the brink of another title ahead of the Kilmarnock game last night.

And what a performance the team put in there. A 5-0 drubbing of Derek McInnes’ side left the Kilmarnock boss absolutely blown away and delivered the title to a delighted Celtic support.

Kris Boyd lauds Celtic’s Adam Idah

Kris Boyd is probably one of Celtic’s biggest critics but even he couldn’t find an argument against the performance of Adam Idah last night.

The Republic of Ireland international has been a superb signing by Rodgers and Boyd admits that he was sensational in the green and white hoops at Rugby Park.

Boyd said [Sky Sports], “Celtic have been excellent in this half. They have been really good.

“I must say once they got the first goal, I mean Celtic, their sharpness, their speed of play, they’re willing to run without the ball and run behind.

“Adam Idah has been unbelievable. Kilmarnock are usually very good defensively but they are absolutely terrified of Celtic.

“They are all over the place defensively.”

Idah’s match stats from last night prove that Rodgers was correct to start him ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi for the title-winning clash.

Idah has put an argument across for Brendan Rodgers to open up the Celtic chequebook and make his move permanent.

I’m pretty sure that’s a transfer move all the Celtic fans will get on board with should the Hoops boss decides to go ahead with it because in four short months at the club, Idah has proven that he is more than capable of doing a job for Celtic.
