American weapons provided by the US as part of military aid are intended for use within Ukrainian territory, citing Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh during a briefing.

She said that the US has not changed its position on the use of the weapons it provides to Ukraine. According to the Pentagon representative, the armaments should be used to reclaim Ukraine's sovereign territory.

"We've made our requests pretty public on this. Again, I would reiterate that, in every single Ukraine defense contact group that the Secretary convenes, the weapons that are provided, again, it's for use on the battlefield," Singh said.

She added that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov are discussing how the capabilities can be utilized. In the view of the US, American weapons are best used on Ukrainian territory.
