Jarrod Bowen contract twist might just surprise you as report makes fresh claim

West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen put pen to paper on a new long-term contract towards the end of last year.

Jarrod Bowen has been in sensational form for West Ham this season, and he is being heavily backed to be named in Gareth Southgate’s EURO 2024 squad.

The 27-year-old has reached a whole new level entirely this term, with 20 goals and 10 assists to his name in 44 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).

Bowen is incredibly fit, hungry to improve and reliable. I believe that he will keep getting better and better with every week that passes.

The fact that West Ham have him tied down until 2030 is so important for us. He’s our best player and incoming new Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui needs to build his team around him.

Bowen has already given his blessing to the appointment of Lopetegui, and with the former Hull City man at the club the future looks very bright indeed.

Now a new and extremely interesting claim has been made about Bowen’s seven-year deal…

Jarrod Bowen new contract twist

The 27-year-old is definitely the type of player who I can see staying at the London Stadium for his entire career, as long as we match his ambition of course.

Bowen is a real fan favourite at West Ham, and here’s hoping to many more years of him wearing the famous claret and blue.

So what is the new claim being made about Bowen’s deal? The good news is that there is absolutely nothing to worry about!

According to The Athletic, it was in fact Tim Steidten who accelerated new contract talks with Jarrod Bowen back in October of last year.

Crucially, the Hammers managed to tie down the 27-year-old to a deal that runs until the summer of 2030 as a result of Steidten’s influence on proceedings.

At the time, David Moyes was lavished with praise for tying down our very best player to a new seven-year deal (WHUFC.com).

However, it seems as though it may well have been Tim Steidten who got the new Jarrod Bowen contract over the line.

Another tick in the German’s column it seems. Well done Tim!
