Shelling of Odesa region: One person killed, number of wounded increased

Due to the attack by the Russian army on the Odesa region, which occurred today during the day, one person has been killed, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, and the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.

"Unfortunately, as a result of today's Russian attack on the Odesa district, one person has been killed," wrote the official.

According to him, the number of wounded has increased to eight people. Five of them, in a moderate condition, are hospitalized, while others received assistance on-site.

Kiper added that all relevant services are working, and law enforcement agencies are documenting the consequences of another crime by the Russian forces.

Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack. As a result of the strike on a warehouse, a fire broke out covering an area of 8000 square meters.

Rescuers explained that 16 units of firefighting equipment and 58 rescuers were involved.

During the firefighters' work, the air alarm sounded repeatedly, requiring the personnel to retreat to a safe distance. The work to eliminate the consequences continues.

Today, during the day, the Russian forces struck the Odesa district, as reported by the mayor of the city, Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Later, Kiper reported that five people were injured as a result of the shelling, and a large fire broke out at the site of the strike.
