Ukraine resumes consular services for draft-age citizens abroad

"The technical pause in accepting new applications for consular services from a specific category of Ukrainian citizens is coming to an end," the ministry's press service announced.

Consular services for draft-age men, which were suspended on April 23, will resume on May 18 in accordance with current legislation, the ministry stated.

The ministry reported that adjustments have been made to consular procedures in line with the mobilization law. Under the new legislation, men seeking consular services must now also present their military registration document, either in paper or electronic form.

Submitting a military registration document will not be required when applying for papers to return to Ukraine, though.
