‘Wouldn’t shock me’: There’s a 60% chance Arsenal sell £30m player now – journalist

Arsenal have a big decision to make on Aaron Ramsdale this summer.

The England goalkeeper has spent this season sat on the bench behind David Raya, and, inevitably, he’s been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer.

Speaking on Inside Arsenal, James Benge has been discussing Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal, and he says that he wouldn’t be shocked either way if Ramsdale left or stayed, claiming that he thinks there’s a 60% chance the goalkeeper leaves.

60% chance Aaron Ramsdale leaves Arsenal

The journalist shared his verdict on the £30m player and his potential departure.

“I think you’re right on those four, Ramsdale not generating the money that Arsenal would hope wouldn’t shock me, but I’m still 60/40 that he will go permanently for a good fee,” Benge said.

Aaron Ramsdale should leave Arsenal

Ramsdale’s departure from Arsenal isn’t guaranteed, but his best course of action may well be to leave north London.

You aren’t going to improve as a footballer if you’re not playing, and, frustratingly, Ramsdale is never going to be a starter at Arsenal now that David Raya is there.

Mikel Arteta has planted his flag, and it’s clear that he prefers Raya, and, frustratingly for Ramsdale, he’s refusing to budge or rotate on that front.

Ramsdale is way too good to just be sat on the bench for Arsenal, and if a club comes calling this summer, he needs to make a move.

There have been rumours over the past few days that a deal to Newcastle has been agreed, and while Ramsdale has denied those rumours, perhaps a route to St James’ Park is open for the goalkeeper.

Ramsdale could well leave Arsenal this summer, and he’s certainly a player to keep an eye on in this transfer window.
