‘It’s coming out of my mouth’: Tony Adams has now made a surprising claim about Tottenham

In a week when the Tottenham vs Arsenal rivalry has been making all sorts of headlines, Tony Adams has now made a claim about Spurs.

Mr Arsenal himself has shared his verdict on Tottenham’s performance against Manchester City when speaking on Premier League Productions, and, interestingly, he’s been full of praise for his biggest rivals.

Adams says that he has to give praise to Spurs for their performance against City, claiming that they were brilliant against City and that they put in a very professional performance.

Tony Adams praises Tottenham

For perhaps the first time in his life, Adams actually had good things to say about Tottenham.

“It’s a historic side, Arsenal have pushed Man City all the way and credit to them and credit to Tottenham. I did actually say this, it’s coming out of my mouth, but they were brilliant the other night. I thought they were so professional. It was really first-class to see Premier League players performing so brilliantly,” Adams said.

Tottenham nearly did Arsenal a favour

Tottenham didn’t manage to get a result against City on Tuesday, but they were so close to snatching a result from the Premier League champions.

Heung-Min Son’s late miss was a heart-stopping moment for fans of both City and Arsenal, and the reality is that Spurs were so close to handing Arsenal the chance to win the Premier League.

Tottenham supporters may not have wanted to win the game on Tuesday, but, as Adams says, Spurs put in a very professional performance against Man City, and, in a lot of ways, they were very good on the night.

Unfortunately for Spurs and Arsenal, Man City are just another level, especially at this point of a season, and even a solid performance from Spurs wasn’t enough to stop Pep Guardiola’s winning machine.
