Jurgen Klopp thinks Mikel Arteta could have 'problems' with two Arsenal players soon

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Mikel Arteta could have some issues with two Arsenal players in the near future.

The German will take charge of his final game at Liverpool on Sunday. He is one of the best managers we’ve had in the Premier League, and he knows all the hardships that the man at the helm will face.

Klopp now thinks Arsenal boss Arteta will have some tough decisions to make very soon.

Jurgen Klopp questions if Mikel Arteta can handle ‘problems’ with Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli

Mikel Arteta has built a fantastic squad at Arsenal.

The Gunners have world-class players in multiple positions on the pitch, and that’s why they are competing for the title for the second season running.

One of the problems a manager faces when he has an elite squad at his disposal is the task of keeping everybody happy.

Jurgen Klopp recently had an altercation with Mohamed Salah after he dropped him to the bench, and the German seems to have managed that situation well.

Now, the Liverpool manager has questioned if Arteta will be able to do the same.

Klopp pointed out how Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus have both dropped out of the starting lineup recently, and he feels that could cause a few problems for Arteta soon.

He told The Times: “OK, Arsenal, young, they can go again, they will have problems like everyone else.

“[Leandro] Trossard playing and not [Gabriel] Martinelli any more and Gabriel Jesus not playing but [Kai] Havertz playing. How will that work out?

“Can he [Mikel Arteta] really manage that? There are always potential problems. If you are successful, there are problems. If you are nearly successful, there are problems.”

Mikel Arteta could handle the two problems very differently

Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are both tremendous footballers.

The £6 million winger was one of Arsenal’s best players in the 2022/23 campaign, in which he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League.

Jesus too is really important for the Gunners. He was the one who took us to the next level in his debut season, and his contribution cannot be ignored.

However, if problems do arise for Mikel Arteta with regards to Martinelli and Jesus, we feel he’ll have different solutions for each player.

Martinelli is still young – he doesn’t turn 23 until June. His potential is massive and he will definitely be told to work hard and get back in the side ahead of Leandro Trossard, who will turn 30 in December.

As for Jesus, Arsenal may have to make the hard decision of letting him go, especially if Arteta signs a new striker this summer.

Kai Havertz has made the number nine role his own and has completely eclipsed Jesus as Arsenal’s main striker.

As a result, the Brazilian’s goalscoring woes combined with the fact that he is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia could convince Arteta to cash in on him.
