Peter Crouch has just suggested Arsenal have a player who is even better than David Beckham

Peter Crouch has picked one Arsenal player over Manchester United legend David Beckham.

The Gunners have top-quality players in almost every position on the pitch. Mikel Arteta has built a fantastic squad, and it is no surprise that they are fighting for the Premier League title.

One player, in particular, has been outstanding for Arsenal, and Crouch appears to be a big fan of him, so much so that he prefers him over Beckham.

Peter Crouch ends Bukayo Saka vs David Beckham debate

Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal’s main man for a few years now.

The England international has played a massive part in Mikel Arteta’s rebuild of Arsenal. He has been there from the start and has arguably been their best player.

Saka has had another fine season for the Gunners.

He has scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions, and you wouldn’t put it past him to add to that tally on the final day against Everton.

Peter Crouch has seen some great players over the years. He knows an incredible talent when he sees one, and he seems to be a big fan of Saka.

In a video posted on his podcast’s official Instagram handle, Crouch picked between England’s current players and that great team from 2004.

The former Tottenham man had a number of tough decisions to make, but he seemed pretty confident with all of his picks.

On the right wing, Crouch was asked to choose between David Beckham or Arsenal star Saka.

“I’m going to pick Saka,” he replied.

Bukayo Saka could surpass David Beckham’s Premier League numbers

David Beckham was an unbelievable player during his prime.

The former Manchester United man was absolutely incredible on the dead ball, but he was very, very good in other departments in attack as well.

Beckham played 265 games in the Premier League for the Red Devils over nine seasons, scored 62 goals and provided 83 assists.

Bukayo Saka, who is still only 22 and is only into his fifth full season in the Premier League, is actually not too far away from Beckham’s goal tally.

The Arsenal number seven has played 170 games for the Gunners in the league so far and has scored 47 goals – just 15 fewer than Beckham. He has picked up 35 assists as well.

If Saka keeps going at the same rate, he will surpass Beckham’s goal tally as early as next season. That would be a remarkable achievement.
