‘I’d love to’: Luke Littler outlines the one thing he can’t wait to do at Everton’s Bramley-Moore Dock stadium

Everton’s charity work over the years have been nothing short of phenomenal, and it has been widely joked that for all the troubles they have had suffered on the pitch, off it they cannot be faulted.

After all, they have grown into a real pillar of their community, helping out so many people with various schemes to garner crucial funding.

At the forefront of that success is Everton in the Community, which stands alone as the paramount sports charity which the club describes as ‘an independent ‘not-for-profit’ organisation which secures over £2million per annum for community outreach activity’.

Well, just yesterday they hosted a charity match, sponsored by KICK, in order to further bolster this year’s successes.

In attendance were some truly high-profile influencers, aimed towards a younger generation who might have been tempted to make the trip to Goodison Park given the glorious sunshine the stadium was bathed in.

Now these names might not be household for most Evertonians, but there were a few that most would know.

At the apex of them has to be Luke Litter, who stood as the manager for the KICK XI.

This teenage darting sensation has soared to relevancy in the last few months, having shot from an unknown 16-year-old to one of the best darts players in the world now.

Jokes regarding his age were the most dominant, but soon that quickly became an afterthought when he somehow found his way into the 2024 World Darts Championship Final.

Even though he lost, he remains a key figure in boosting the sport’s relevancy ever since then, and was quizzed about Everton just yesterday.

He noted, when asked about his thoughts on the Toffees: ‘I’ve seen bits, the points deduction, and obviously the big game against Liverpool which all Mancs loved. I’d love to come [to Goodison] again or the new ground next year.’

Everton fans will not forget Goodison Park in a hurry

Even if they are moving to a new stadium in just over a year, Evertonians are unlikely to simply expunge Goodison Park from memory.

After all, this has been their home for over 100 years now, and holds so many records within English football for its innovation.

However, the times have moved beyond it, and if the Toffees are to continue surviving in this money-dominated world, then change is needed.

Therefore, the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium marks the perfect next step for this club to take.

Not only will it allow more fans in, thus boosting the coffers that way, but the fact it will be so brand-new and state-of-the-art will command plenty of alternative events almost certain to drive up commercial opportunities for Everton too.

It will be a game-changer for the Toffees, and it is no wonder that fans are clamouring to see Everton’s latest stadium update whenever a new one is posted.
