£18m player starts, Nuno makes two changes: Nottingham Forest predicted team vs Burnley today

Nottingham Forest take on Burnley today to bring the curtain down on the 2023/24 campaign.

The Reds have practically secured safety and will remain in the top flight barring a mathematical miracle today.

Forest would need to lose a 12-goal swing with Luton to get relegated and the chances look unlikely.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping to get things right today as they bid to finish the campaign with a flourish.

What the future holds remains to be seen and ahead of today’s game, we’ve looked at a potential starting eleven.

Predicted Nottingham Forest starting eleven vs Burnley

Nottingham Forest will likely stick with Matz Sels in goal for the trip to Turf Moor today.

At the back, there might be a change, with Forest reverting to a back four after playing three centre-backs last week.

Murillo has been crowned as the Player of the Year and we think he will partner Willy Boly.

At full-back, it feels as though Ola Aina and Gonzalo Montiel will both start the game.

In midfield, there doesn’t appear to be much need for a change.

Nicolas Dominguez has now undergone surgery and will miss out this afternoon as the season draws to a close.

That probably means that Ryan Yates and Danilo will keep their places.

The same is likely to be evident in attack, with Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi all starting.

Up front, we think there could be one change, with Taiwo Awoniyi starting ahead of Chris Wood.

Who else is in contention for Forest vs Burnley?

Matt Turner will likely have to settle for a place on the bench as the deputy goalkeeper.

Neco Williams will definitely miss out so Harry Toffolo will provide backup for the full-back positions.

At central defence, Moussa Niakhate will be on the bench and he played pretty well against Chelsea last week.

In midfield, Ibrahim Sangare will be on the bench and he will fancy some minutes to see out the season.

Wood will likely provide competition for Awoniyi, with Rodrigo Ribeiro also getting named on the bench.

Divock Origi will be involved for Forest for the last time, whilst Giovanni Reyna must wait to see if he’s won a place in the squad.
