Alistair Johnston shares the reaction he's had from Canada to Celtic's title win

As Celtic celebrated yet another win this century, the celebrations are undoubtedly still carrying on over into this morning.

We discussed earlier how the Celtic fans descended into the Glasgow city centre as superb drone footage showed the sheer scale of the Parkhead fans’ celebrations.

The scenes were incredible as the city turned green and white as the party continued in the West of Scotland.

These kinds of celebrations are not new to the Celtic fans but they will be held with greater significance in Alistair Johnston‘s homeland.

Canada ‘super excited’ over Celtic’s latest title success

The Celtic fullback now has two Scottish Premiership winners medals to his name and as he enjoyed yesterday’s celebrations during Trophy Day, Johnston shared the reaction he’s had from home over the Parkhead club’s recent league title win.

Johnston said [Celtic TV], “I’ve gotten lots of messages. There’s tons of Celtic supporters clubs back home that are all super excited. Again, just thrilled.

“It’s another league title and again as Cam [Carter-Vickers] touched on, it’s always amazing winning a league title because it really is a testament to the work that you’ve done for the past year.

“So we’re really happy with this and I bet there are a ton of Celtic fans all over the world and back home in North America that’s celebrating this.”

And as Johnston points out, the celebrations will have been enjoyed all over the world. Celtic proudly holds a global status as a football club with hundreds of supporter clubs littered all over the world.

With a proud trophy history, Celtic have built a fanbase that many of the world’s top clubs are extremely envious of.

With a Scottish Cup final to be won next weekend, if Celtic can pull off a double over Rangers, the celebrations we have witnessed this weekend so far will be eclipsed if Brendan Rodgers can deliver the next big prize up for grabs.
