Report: Nottingham Forest will now let player who fell out with Steve Cooper leave for just £4m

Nottingham Forest will undergo another busy summer and now one of their players will be allowed to leave in a cut-price deal.

Ahead of today’s final game of the campaign against Burnley, Forest are just about safe.

The team would need a 12-goal swing with Luton on the final day and plans can loosely be made for next season.

Although Forest will look to sign a few players of their own, several others will be departing and the Reds need to clear the decks.

One player who has been integral for Forest in the past could now be on the move and someone might get themselves a bargain.

Nottingham Forest will sell Joe Worrall in bargain deal

It was claimed last week that Worrall wouldn’t be signing permanently for Besiktas following his loan spell.

He’s not been getting regular football there – and it would appear that he’s not really made his mark on the team.

Now, Worrall is going to return to Forest and today it has been claimed what the situation will be in the summer.

According toThe Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Forest will offload the central defender for just £4 million.

It would appear that Forest have no plans to welcome Worrall back into the fold and a permanent exit looks likely.

Worrall has played 226 times for the Reds but he may now have made his final appearance in the Garibaldi.

Forest would be wise to cash in on central defender

It’s fair to say that Worrall achieved a bit of a dream come true when he helped the club to promotion as the captain.

He then got to lead the team out in the Premier League and that will have struck a serious chord with him.

Earlier this season it was claimed that Worrall fell out with Steve Cooper and that seemingly put the writing on the wall.

Cooper was worshipped by everyone at the football club and Worrall was thought to have taken offence after being told he wouldn’t play against Aston Villa.

There will surely be some takers at £4 million and Worrall’s days at Forest now look to be numbered following this update.

Ultimately, Worrall is a victim of the club preparing properly for the Premier League.

The club now has central defenders better equipped to deal with the top division and the 27-year-old will now fall by the way side at the City Ground.
