Report: Nottingham Forest want under-21 international who wins more tackles than Harry Toffolo

Nottingham Forest are going to try and recruit some new players this summer – with a left-back seemingly on the radar.

The Reds will secure survival today if they avoid a 12-goal swing between them and Luton.

It looks a lot like Forest are going to get over the line. Now the transfer links are starting to come to light.

One position that looks to be on the shortlist for Forest is a full-back and now the Reds have been linked with one.

Nottingham Forest want to sign Bradley Locko

Forest do have Harry Toffolo and Ola Aina in their ranks vying for the left-back spot. Now, it seems another option is now being sought.

According toL’Equipe, the Reds are going to try and land Bradley Locko from Stade Brestois in the summer.

The 22-year-old is a France under-21 international and has been a regular in Thierry Henry’s team during 2023/24.

Brest have exceeded all expectations during the current campaign. They have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Locko was signed by Stade Brestois from Reims and this season he’s registered three assists from 35 appearances in all competitions.

Locko fits the profile of a sound signing

The Reds would be wise to focus their energy on adding young players with bags of potential and Locko ticks that box.

At 22, the player is still learning his craft and he could arrive at the City Ground with bags of untapped potential.

Squawka shows that Locko would likely be an upgrade on Toffolo at Forest.

Locko, under contract in France until 2027, has won 97 tackles this season, with Toffolo making just 26.

Forest will likely prioritise getting players out of the club this summer, with quality over quantity as the order of the day for incoming deals.

Locko feels like a pretty promising signing and hopefully, Forest would stand a strong chance of landing him this summer.
