'First time' – Wayne Rooney swayed Gary Neville with major Brighton vs Man Utd prediction, Roy Keane disagreed with both

Manchester United legends Roy Keane, Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville dropped their telling scoreline predictions for the Red Devils’ last Premier League match of the season.

Erik ten Hag’s men will travel away to the Amex for their Premier League clash against Brighton, with kick-off scheduled for 4pm UK time.

Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Wednesday evening after picking up a 3-2 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils had lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford and suffered a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier this month.

United are currently eighth in the Premier League table and are level on points with seventh-place Newcastle and three points adrift from sixth-place Chelsea.

Keane makes Brighton vs Man Utd prediction

Brighton travelled to Old Trafford earlier this season and secured a convincing 3-1 Premier League win over Manchester United last September.

However, the Seagulls’ form has taken a hit in recent weeks and Brighton have won only one of their last five Premier League fixtures.

Roberto De Zerbi, who has been linked with United, will be in charge of his final match as Brighton boss after confirming his departure at the end of the season.

Roy Keane appeared alongside Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, Ian Wright and Jill Scott on The Overlap’s ‘Super 6’ for their Premier League predictions.

The 52-year-old Irishman, who was teamed up with Arsenal legend Ian Wright, believed that Brighton and United would play out a draw.

Despite Wright suggesting that Brighton or United could potentially scrape a result, Keane’s decision remained the same and the team went for a 1-1 scoreline.

“Brighton. Oh, Jesus. Here we go. Saying that, Brighton aren’t that great, lads. Jesus. Draw? 1-1,” Keane said.

Rooney and Neville’s prediction for Brighton vs Man Utd

United’s season will culminate on 25th May when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Erik ten Hag has reached his second consecutive FA Cup final as United boss and the Dutchman will be hopeful to avenge last season’s defeat to Manchester City.

Neville, who had his say on the upcoming FA Cup final, was partnered alongside fellow United legend Rooney in the absence of Jamie Carragher.

Rooney backed Brighton to pick up all three points and went for a 2-1 scoreline, with Neville admitting it was the “first time” he went against the Red Devils this season.

“He’s gone 2-1 Brighton. That’s the first time I’ve gone against United all season – we might win [now],” Neville said.
