The very first time the world realized Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were a real item, the tight end whisked the singer away in their very own getaway car – and now fans have seen it again.
The Kansas City Chiefs player had put Taylor Swift on ‘blast’ last summer, which she thought was ‘metal as hell’. Travis Kelce had attended one of her Eras Tour concerts, making his own friendship bracelet to swap with the music star, in the hopes she would see his phone number was on it. However, when he asked to see the celebrity, he was turned down because her schedule is crazy during the record-breaking tour. Trav had told his brother Jason Kelce about being let down, on their New Heights podcast, and Tay-Tay heard it. When we all thought it was just his bad luck and no Love Story would emerge, a month later, Taylor appeared at Arrowhead Stadium. After which, Travis Kelce and Taylor left in their ‘getaway car’ – and he’s back in it again.

Although many of us thought Taylor’s appearance in the VIP stand last September was the first time she was responding, the singer came out to clarify they were already an item.
When Swift was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2023, she confirmed she connected with the 34-year-old after he ‘put her on blast’, and they had been seeing each other for more than a month when the big game came around.
The Cruel Summer hitmaker said: “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
But at the time, fans just saw the two walk out of the stadium hand-in-hand – Tay wearing the Kansas red color of course. Then we had a glimpse of Travis Kelce and Taylor jumping in his convertible – a getaway car for the Swifties who love to use lyrics to explain life’s cherished moments – after the victory.
They drove off in his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, a vehicle he loves because it ‘looks so sweet’.
Now, months later, at the Kelce Jam festival, Travis is back in it again, and fans love seeing the getaway car again, like a piece of nostalgia.

After the release of her highly-anticipated album, The Tortured Poets Department, fans were convinced he made an appearance in his lyrics.
They believe The Alchemy, with its football theme, is about their love affair so far.
“I’m making a comeback to where I belong” she sings, as well as using ‘the team’, ‘the benches’ and ‘winning streak’.
Considering she saw Trav and his team storm the Super Bowl once again, the winning streak alone is a huge reference, especially when she raced onto the field to enjoy a victory kiss.
“Beer sticking to the floor,” she sings. “… cheers chanted, ’cause they said there was no chance, trying to be the greatest in the league, where’s the trophy, he just comes running over to me.”
One Swiftie declared: “The alchemy is about Travis and I won’t take any slander, arguments, or comments about this.”
“The Alchemy is definitely our Travis song and I’m so here for it!” raved another.
